It's apparently been around since 2003 and was founded by two guys,Mel Young and Haraid Schmied.Its aim is to help and to increase awareness of the more than one billion homeless people around the world.Apparently,the two of them were looking for an international language for the homeless and they hit on the idea of soccer. It's a little different from professional soccer. More like street soccer or futsal.Each match is 14 minutes long,two seven-minute halves,and the pitch is 22 meters by 16,so it's smaller-scaled and faster-paced. But as a social enterprise,it's a brikkiant idea.The homeless are usually invisible in society.Most people don't want to have anything to do with them.It's usually linked with feelings of shame.But this gives some of them the chance to be the proud representatives of their own country. And it's working.It's grown from 18 teams in 2003 to 64 teams in 2011,including 16 women's teams,and apparently 70 percent of those who participated have said their lives have changed for the better,whether it's getting off drugs and alcohol,or moving into jobs and education. 前後の文脈で多少意訳は必要でしょうが、「私(の居る場所）とあなた(の居る場所）との時差はどのくらいですか？」「透明人間になるか、空を飛べるようになるかどちらか選べと言われたらあなたならどうしますか？」と、こんな感じでいかがでしょうか。
